The resurrected Tata Sierra, which debuted in India with a starting ex-showroom price of ₹11.49 lakh, has generated fresh curiosity not only for its retro-inspired appearance and modern characteristics but also for rumors that a longer, seven-seater model might soon be available.

The Sierra is currently sold in the company’s ICE range as a five-seater midsize SUV between Tata’s Curvv and the more spacious Harrier.
But insiders and media accounts indicate the carmaker is considering an extended-wheelbase, three-row model that may more directly rival conventional 7-seater SUVs from other companies.
The brand’s flexible design, the ARGOS platform, All-Terrain Ready, Omni-Energy and Geometry Scalable, sits central to these plans.
Engineered to support several body types, several powertrains, and even all-wheel-drive (AWD), ARGOS offers Tata the technical latitude to extend Sierra’s reach past its present five-seat form.
Should Tata move on with the 7-seater Sierra, the car would fit perfectly under its bigger SUVs and enable the business to access a rising market for family-oriented, three-row vehicles.
Officials, however, supposedly state that any new variation must earn its place by means of incremental volume, rather than eat into the revenues of the brand’s current SUVs.
Buyers of the 2025-model Sierra now have a triple-screen dashboard, combining a digital instrument cluster, central infotainment, and passenger-side display, dual-tone cabin, panoramic sunroof, Level-2 ADAS, and options across petrol, diesel, and future EV drivetrains.
According to market acceptance and regulatory environment, Tata is said to be keeping its options open; in addition to a possible 7-seater, the road map may include AWD, CNG or hybrid types.

The 7-seater Sierra is theoretical, albeit technically feasible given ARGOS, until the corporation publishes a formal statement or revision. Clients can reserve the 5-seater Sierra for now; formal bookings are due mid-December 2025; deliveries are planned beginning in January 2026.
