Supported by Edward Glazer, co-owner of the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a prominent automotive retail firm, Sonic Automotive, has successfully acquired Jaguar Land Rover Newport Beach in addition to several other high-end brands in California.
Founded in 2018 and situated in Los Angeles, US Auto Trust has been aggressively growing its luxury vehicle industry presence. The company has doubled its dealership count over the previous eight months. Along with an Aston Martin outlet in San Diego, the Newport Beach site supplements an existing well-known portfolio, including Aston Martin and Jaguar Land Rover dealerships in Newport Beach.
Following prior acquisitions in Los Angeles and San Jose, Sonic Automotive’s third Jaguar-Land Rover franchise purchase is indicated here. While the San Jose location is set for a full refurbishment, the Los Angeles Jaguar-Land Rover dealership has been renamed Cadillac Pasadena.
The purchase of Newport Beach fits a pattern; earlier acquisitions include a Cadillac dealership in the same neighbourhood as Land Rover Pasadena. According to Matt Kaiser, President of US Auto Trust, dealership improvements are expected; serious renovations are planned for the Pasadena sites, therefore highlighting the company’s commitment to providing brand-defining customer experiences.
Furthermore, by the end of 2023, Sonic Automotive will get the franchise rights to set up Genesis dealerships in Newport Beach and Pasadena. Emphasizing luxury high-end as its main priority, US Auto Trust is on track to reach $1 billion in yearly revenue by the end of 2022. Still, Kaiser has said he is prepared to expand the product range in the days ahead.
Customers at Jaguar Land Rover Newport Beach will be looking forward to a polished, high-service experience under Sonic Automotive management that will mirror the upgrades scheduled for other luxury sites. Expect major facility upgrades and better service options, probably consistent with revised standards across the group’s luxury brands.
