In the 2024 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, the Savoy Automobile Museum has been named Best Attraction for Car Enthusiasts. This competition started with a group of travel experts who painstakingly selected the top 20 candidates from all throughout the country, then enabled the public to vote.
Macra Adair, executive director of Savoy, said, “Our ranking at the top of this list is a direct reflection of the dedication and determination of our members, volunteers, staff, friends, and fans.”
December 2021 saw the opening of the Savoy Automobile Museum, spurred by an urge to develop ties to the lively cultural variety present in the car world. This museum reaches its objectives by using a range of rotating exhibits, educational activities, and immersive experiences, all geared to entice guests to develop a great respect for the craftsmanship and historical importance of vehicles. Guests are greeted by a well-chosen array of original artwork honoring automobile themes, in addition to a vast range of vehicles.
Savoy provides a unique setting for a range of public and private events, business meetings, parties, awards ceremonies, and more, in addition to its main purpose as a museum. For the yearly open classification car show called The Connection, the Showgrounds and facilities offer a special setting. The museum recently grew to include a 15,000 square foot open-air pavilion, perfect for cruise-ins and other special activities.
