New Manthey Performance Kit Announced for Porsche 911 GT3 (992.2)

Pushing the already razor-sharp track car into more focused territory, Porsche has unveiled a remarkably cutting-edge new Manthey Kit for its 911 GT3 (992.2). Engineered in tight partnership with Manthey Racing and supported by Porsche’s Weissach engineering facility, the kit is geared for drivers who drive their GT3s on the track, not just on the road.

The heart of this improvement is a thorough aerodynamic redesign. Generating substantially more downforce, the underbody has been redesigned into a continuous, smooth panel, and the turning vanes below have been elongated about one meter (around 59 inches).

A wider wing with a Gurney flap and larger, curved endplates complements a longer-finned diffuser at the rear; the front has a 12-mm lip plus newly installed diffuser fins and side flaps. These components work together to significantly increase the downforce of the car without changing the aerodynamic drag.

In numerical terms, the effects are striking: at 285 km/h, the GT3 with the Manthey Kit produces about 355 kg of downforce in “road mode,” which rises to 540 kg when switched to the full circuit specification.

The car is still no less changed below the surface. Replacing the conventional arrangement, a four-way adjustable coilover suspension allows rebound and compression tuning without tools and has front springs about 10% stiffer to handle the greater aerodynamic loads.

Upgraded brake lines also boost pedal feel under heavy usage. A significant reduction in lap time is among the most revealing signs of performance improvements.

With DTM champion Ayhancan Güven behind the wheel and Michelin’s Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres fitted, the modified GT3 ran the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6 minutes, 52.981 seconds, about 2.76 seconds faster than the earlier 992.1 GT3 with Manthey enhancements.

Buyers should note that this package does not invalidate the factory guarantee on the GT3. Porsche adds that it will be offered from March 2026 via authorized Porsche retailers all around.
