A rare 2005 Ford GT, which was formerly owned by late actor-enthusiast Paul Walker, has surfaced at an auction and shows just 3,701 miles on the speedometer and a very unusual no-stripes Mark IV Red colour.
This specified GT is extremely rare, which is among only the 14 models that were produced in 2005 with the stripe-deleted red paint. Walker’s personal ‘Always Evolving Collection’ is its provenance, therefore boosting its status from a collectable supercar to a piece of automobile and pop-culture history.

Under the hood sits the same original supercharged 5.4-litre DOHC V8, rated at 550 horsepower and 500 lb-ft, mated with a Ricardo six-speed manual transaxle and a helical limited-slip differential.
This same hardware made the GT famous when it premiered. In addition to tasteful improvements like an Accufab throttle body, ECU tuning, aftermarket exhaust, and enhanced suspension components (Penske dampers), changes were thought to improve driveability while keeping the car’s legacy intact.

Apart from the performance improvements, the GT keeps many of its original characteristics. Forged alloy wheels (BBS) included with the sale, Brembo brakes with optional red calipers, and a factory-fresh interior with ebony leather, exposed aluminium floors, and Sparco bucket seats. A recent mechanical refresh, including a new MAF sensor, oil change, fuel filter, spark plugs, and battery, helps to confirm its maintenance background and overall state.
With several days left in the auction, bids had already passed $550,000; therefore, many onlookers believe the final hammer will settle well into the seven-figure range.
The sale emphasizes how uncommon specifications, low mileage, and celebrity ownership work to raise the price of collectable automobiles. Among the rather small production run of the 2005 GT, just over 2,000 vehicles worldwide, a no-stripes Mark IV Red example tied to an enthusiast icon stands out as combining performance history with cultural nostalgia.
This GT is a slice of automotive history for collectors and admirers alike, as well as a memorial to a man whose love of cars helped shape his identity.
