“This is the Jaguar E-Type GTO that never came to light, yet it should always have,” said Scott Wallace, ECD Co-founder and CEO. “The Bridgewater Commission encouraged us to transcend basic repair and generate something absolutely unique. We were expanding Jaguar’s legacy rather than only honoring it.”
Drawing influence from the homologated street models from the racing cars of the 1960s, ECD Automotive Design’s latest Jaguar E-Type is an open-top Grand Tourer meticulously rebuilt from the ground up. According to ECD, expert metal craftsmen in Coventry, Jaguar’s birthplace, who took inspiration from both the original E-Type and the famous D-Type racer, built the body of this E-Type GTO, known as the Bridgewater Commission.

The bodywork was next sent to Florida for the last assembly, which included the fitting of a customized Series 2 E-Type chassis coupled with a reconditioned Jaguar V12 engine. ECD has achieved an output of over 400 horsepower in this scenario by using modern fuel injection and an advanced cooling system.
Other characteristics include 15-inch basket-weave wheels, completely adjustable coilover suspension, a newly developed steering rack, and improved six-piston front and four-piston back brake callipers. Jaguar E-Type style also includes a custom removable hardtop, but given the powertrain, choosing out of it may be the more sensible choice.
The interior is likewise amazing, as lavish as one may wish for. While a brushed aluminium dashboard displays revised instruments next to some nostalgic features like toggle switches and crank windows, the cabin of the Jaguar E-Type is decorated with hand-stitched leather. Naturally, there are contemporary improvements as well. The vehicle features heated seats, Bluetooth audio, USB charging ports for devices, power locks, and automatic headlights.
The custom commissions from ECD are clearly astounding. The workshop does not confine itself to one manufacturer either. Among the restomods from this company, we have observed classic Mustangs and old off-road cars. ECD welcomes a great range of classic car restoration options and always provides great quality, even though many prefer to concentrate on a particular speciality.
