Kia Launches Second-Generation Telluride SUV With Bold New Design

Kia Launches Second-Generation

Kia, a Hyundai-owned automaker from South Korea, has revealed its all-new second-gen Kia Telluride SUV 2027 model year offering a significant facelift that keeps the boxy design signature and opens up new ways for potential buyers to get that concurrently with it.

The redesigned 2027 Kia Telluride

The new Telluride SUV has a bigger footprint; its total length is approximately 2.3 inches longer, its wheelbase is nearly 3 inches longer, and its height is increased by about 1 inch. The net result of these alterations is an improved cabin space and access to the second and third rows. The exterior looks very much the same in terms of the broad, upright stance, but it is now characterized by sharper lines, vertical lighting features, and a more contoured body.

According to Kia Global, the transformed appearance is in line with the company’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, rugged character being one of the extremes and refined sophistication on the other. The interior is given a more simplistic touch with a horizontally oriented dashboard that promotes spaciousness and comfort.

The growth in size helps with headroom and access to the seats in the rear. Practicality looks to be on a higher level: the designers have come up with a mix of different cargo arrangements and improved passenger convenience.

Although the complete technical specifications are yet to be announced, this indicates that Kia is hardening its position regarding the Kia Telluride SUV as a premium three-row family SUV.

As for the powertrain, the company has not yet made it known, but the second-gen Kia Telluride SUV is likely to inherit a V6 gasoline powerplant (3.5 or 3.8-litre unit) and will probably offer an electrified hybrid from the company’s innovative plant delivering around 329 hp. The ride is termed as Kia’s best internal-combustion SUV, paving the way for electrification to take over the market when the time is right.
