The Carrera GT’s 25th Anniversary: A Special Reunion with Porsche and Arthur Kar

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Porsche Carrera GT, one of the most iconic supercars ever created by automobile engineering, the Porsche Lifestyle Group and Arthur Kar are once more working together to debut a new capsule collection.

Taking on the role of Creative Director for this limited-edition capsule collection, which builds on a string of successful alliances, is Arthur Kar, Paris-based creator of L’Art de L’Automobile. Scheduled to debut in September 2025, Kar’s unique aesthetic is inspired by the raw energy and ageless grace of the Carrera GT and combines motorsport history with Kar’s signature style. The result is a collection of clothing and accessories that perfectly reflect Porsche’s V10 masterwork, thereby paying respect to its long legacy.

Arthur Kar with Carrera GT

Every partnership with Porsche for Arthur Kar is a homecoming to his roots rather than just creative work. Born in Lebanon and raised in Paris, Kar started his path in the back of the Porsche Sonauto Levallois garage, where he worked as a mechanic until his twenties, repairing engines of Porsche 911 Club Coupes. Still, he found more in these machines: a culture, a language, a lifestyle. Initially a showroom for uncommon and classic automobiles, L’Art de L’Automobile quickly became a meeting point for a new generation of car enthusiasts in 2012.

The debut of his fashion label, Kar/L’Art de L’Automobile, in 2017 has not only changed fashion preferences but also the way people interact with cars and style. Arthur Kar has since reinterpreted the connection between these two worlds; his cultural impact is still quite evident.

Kar has always had a shared passion for Carrera GT and creative freedom in his relationship with Porsche. Their first collaboration in 2021, the 968 L’Art, reimagined a classic 1990s model into a futuristic roadster: a unique art car meticulously created in Paris over an 18-month timeframe. Developed in collaboration with the Porsche Lifestyle Group, the accompanying collection swiftly became a sought-after collector’s item.
